Since we're all waiting for TAS to re-open, why not make a thread where we can post our profiles now. That way we can have them ready when the site opens. ^^

>_> Okay...
All right. Here's what's basically the final version of my bio. I'd appreciate any feedback you can give me. Message or post is fine. I'd just like to hear what you think.
Name: Yukiko Age: 20 Gender: Female Nation: Fire Nation Bender: Firebender
Appearance: Yukiko stands at roughly 5’10”. Her skin is porcelain-smooth and alabaster-pale. Her hair is black and falls in waves to her shoulders. However, when the light hits it just so it has a bluish sheen. She has almond-shaped hazel eyes with flecks of gold near the pupils. She has a slender build, but she uses that to her advantage. Who would suspect a fragile-looking young woman to be as fleet-footed as a deer? Or to send you hurling through the air with ease? She weighs roughly 175lbs. Though this is a bit heavy for her size, the majority of it is muscle. Her years wielding a sword and sparring with her cousins built her into a compact and powerful individual. Her daily outfit consists of semi-fitted pants with a matching long-sleeve shirt. She owns several pairs, all in varying shades of blue or red. When she attended more formal occasions in the Fire Nation, she wore a kimono. It was golden with the four elements dyed into the lower half and on her sleeves. Later, she would wear a simple green dress. Yukiko carries a gnarled staff at all times. It stands to her shoulders and is actually the sheathe for her sword. The symbols of the four elements run the length of the staff, while the yin yang is etched into the sword's blade. The yin is blue while the yang is red. She also wears a silver-chain pendant necklace and matching bracelet. The pendants match the symbol on her sword. They were her mother’s last gift to her.
History (names written last name, first name): Yukiko’s father Ken was born in the Fire Nation capitol. His father Tatsuya was the head of the moderately wealthy Kazan family. Ken is the youngest son. In his youth, Ken sought to make a name for himself. His family was full of master swordsmen but few firebenders. Ken, however, had a gift for it. He devoted his energy to perfecting his bending form. When he was 17, he joined the Fire Nation Army. At the time, he believed it was the best path to glory. But after his first real battle, Ken decided that this kind of fighting wasn’t for him. Yet he felt he had already come too far to just leave. So he remained. And despite his talent, his military record remained unremarkable. He refused to do more than was absolutely necessary to win. By the time he captured Kasumi, he had been delegated to infrequent patrolling. Mizutani Kasumi was originally from the Northern Water Tribe. Though her waterbending was mediocre, Kasumi wished to fight alongside her brethren. Tradition, however, dictated that she be a healer instead. Frustrated with this, she left at 16 to travel the world. She eventually joined a small group of vigilantes known as the Shadows of the Earth. They found she had a knack for stealth and tracking. Eager for acceptance, she honed her raw talents. She also delved into the art of poisons. The subtle nuances intrigued her and she studied avidly. Kasumi stayed with the Shadows for several years, gradually becoming known as Death’s Shadow. She was forced to leave them when a Fire Nation platoon — Ken’s platoon — ambushed the group during one of its raids. She caught a brief glimpse of Ken, but quickly pushed him from her mind. Afterwards, she journeyed through the Earth Kingdom, using what she had learned to stay alive. As she traveled, she came across Ken’s platoon again. She handed herself over to them, expressing a desire to join the Fire Nation. To this day, it is a mystery as to why she did this. Kasumi was taken to the Fire Nation for interrogation. She revealed that she was Death’s Shadow and offered her services to the Fire Nation. The Fire Lord agreed to give her an assignment to prove herself. She was ordered to assassinate a traitor of the Fire Nation located outside of Ba Sing Se. After several months, she returned to the Fire capital with the traitor’s body. Impressed with her methods, the Fire Lord accepted her into the Nation. From then on, she has worked as an assassin for the Fire Nation. A year later, she ran into Ken while he was on leave. They spent most of his leave together. When he next returned, Ken secured a position as a guard in the capitol. Once he had settled into the new routine, he proposed to Kazumi. The wedding was a small family affair.
Bio: Yukiko is the youngest of Kazumi and Ken’s six children. She is also their only daughter. As a child, she preferred to spend her time alone. Her parents often pushed her into play dates, hoping she would come out of her shell. She endured these attempts, not wishing to upset them. Keeping with this desire, she was polite to her playmates. She treated them fairly, but considered none as friends. She rarely argued with anyone, but never backed down from a challenge. As a result, she was respected, admired, and eventually highly sought-after as a wife. She never took most of the proposals seriously. Yukiko was the only one to exhibit firebending skills. They first manifested when she was two. Her father was practicing while his family watched. Yukiko had squirmed away from her mother’s hold, but Kasumi had not thought to grab her back. So no one immediately noticed Yukiko toddling towards her father. It wasn’t until Ken unleashed a powerful blast that any realized she was there. But the flames didn’t engulf Yukiko. Instead they followed the path of her arm made, curving up and to her right. Her family watched in shock as a giggling Yukiko manipulated her father’s fire before extinguishing it. Despite his own feelings, Ken immediately began her training. He hired some of the finest tutors in the Nation and trained with her in his spare time. Yukiko quickly mastered the basics, entering the intermediary stages by her 7th birthday. She eagerly worked to perfect her bending, hoping to one day join her father in the Imperial Army. She and her brothers were trained extensively with swords and in hand-to-hand combat. Kazan tradition stated that the child who would be a Kazan sword master must forge and etch his/her own blade on his/her eighth birthday. Her brothers had all gone through this rite; so would she. Their blades were unremarkable and bore war-related etchings. But due to a peculiar mix of metals and a slight miscalculation in heat, Yukiko’s blade turned jet-black. Ken suggested forging a new one. Why? There’s nothing wrong with it. It’s as sharp and hard as any other. Besides, no one will ever have a sword quite like mine. ... This blade is unique, Father. It’s an extension of me. I will wield no other. As it was meant to be. ~ Yukiko to Ken ~ For her etchings, Yukiko chose the yin yang. As she etched, she was surprised to see the halves change from the traditional black/white to an ocean blue/fire red. On the other side, she etched the name of her blade: Kano. Shortly after her eighth birthday, her mother was killed while on a mission. Within the space of a year, she lost four brothers and her father to battle and disease. Genji was her only surviving brother. He was six years older and the youngest of her brothers. He spent the next four years trying to raise her alone. Even with their family’s wealth, they struggled to keep things together. During this time, Yukiko began keeping a journal. She also took up woodcarving, one of Genji’s hobbies. She would later claim these were all that kept her from going insane. A few months before Yukiko’s 13th birthday, Genji vanished. He left her a note, briefly explaining why he left. She never showed it to anyone, feigning ignorance and confusion. His whereabouts are currently unknown and he is presumed dead. With her immediate family dead and missing, Yukiko was sent from relative to relative. She never stayed in one home for more than a six months. She would become too restless. She took to wandering the streets at night, seeking to put space between her and them. Gradually, Yukiko began to resent them all. They saw her, not as a little girl, but as Ken’s genius child. Where she had once felt pride in her firebending, she found only disgust. I am Kazan Yukiko. Not my father’s prodigy. ~ Journal excerpt ~ Despite this, she continued her training. She kept on in her father’s memory and began studying Advanced Firebending. Yet there was always a small part of her that wanted something...else. Her uncles were fond of telling the tales of Kuzuru Kairo. She listened to these stories with awe. She respected and admired his power, certainly. But she focused more upon his methods than his raw strength. Yukiko particularly liked his use of weapons as an extension to his firebending. She took his idea to heart and incorporated this into her training. Yet there was always a part of her that wanted something...else. With each passing day, more news of deaths reached home. And Yukiko became more and more infuriated. The war was no longer glorious in her eyes. She looked at these people, this nation, and felt ashamed to call them ‘hers.’ She finally realized what she wanted. Shortly after she turned 16, Yukiko fled the capital. She took 7 things: her sword, a hunting knife, two sets of her preferred outfit, her necklace and bracelet, and her journal. For a year, she traveled around the Fire Nation islands – a week here, a month there. Nowhere felt quite right to her. Everywhere she went, she felt judged and misplaced. Finally, she stowed away on a ship bound for the Earth Kingdom. Once there, she spent four months outside a small village on the coast. She realized early on that to remain undiscovered by her family, she had to be rid of her sword. But she refused to be parted with it. So she spent her time crafting her trademark staff. I found a good-sized branch today. Painful though it was, I used Kano to cut it down. I figured it would be easier that way. Besides, I don’t want people to know about my firebending. I borrowed some carving tools from one of the villagers. I’m whittling away at the lower half of the branch. I want it to taper to a smaller point... I’ve begun hollowing out the branch. I cut off a portion of the top first. It’ll cover Kano’s hilt. The branch is pretty gnarled, so I have to burn slowly. But by the time I’m done, Kano’s sheathe should fit snugly inside... I’m done hollowing it. The sheathe fits perfectly. The hilt cover is nearly finished, as well. Soon Kano’s disguise will be complete. I’ll finally be able to get away from that wretched nation. ~ Journal excerpts ~ With her staff complete, she began moving deeper into Earth Kingdom territory. She didn’t know where she was headed, just that it was far from the coast. As she traveled, she learned much about the flora. In particular, she devoured information on healing herbs and remedies. Eventually, she found a small village a few miles from Ba Sing Se. She took her mother’s name, Mizutani, and began rebuilding her life. With her knowledge of the plant life, she became the village healer. It was here she made her first friend, Ishinomori Hayato. They became close and even talked of marriage. She lived peacefully with him for two years. Her staff was never far from her, but she never openly used her firebending. Then, on her 20th birthday, the Fire Nation raided their village. Against Hayato’s wishes, Yukiko eagerly answered the call to arms. But despite all efforts, the village was destroyed. Many of the villagers, including Hayato, were killed. Yukiko helped the refugees escape to Ba Sing Se. But she refused to stay in the city. Instead, she began her hunt. This war has taken its last victim from me. I will not stop until every last Fire Nation soldier is gone from this land. I will not stop until this war is done. ~ Journal excerpt ~ She continues the hunt, fighting every Fire Nation soldier she encounters. People in the Earth Kingdom once whispered of Death’s Shadow. Now they whisper of the Shadow Blade.
Personality: Polite, rational, and demure. Composed and proud, yet compassionate and earnest. This is how Yukiko has behaved most of her life. In her childhood and teen years, she treated everyone as an equal. She put them at ease with soft-spoken words and a relaxed stance. She rarely lost her cool. This is one of the few things that remains true of her. When things do manage to irritate her, she has two responses: scathing sarcasm or icy dismissal. If it comes to a challenge she will fight, even if she knows she’ll lose. It’s not about winning, Genji. It’s about standing up for myself. It’s about showing that I’m not just talk. I don’t want to be treated like I’m nothing. ~ Yukiko ~ She was often called charismatic. Charisma? I just listen. I mean I really listen to people. How does that make me charismatic? Stop being so ridiculous, cousin. ... I won’t sugarcoat things for anyone, Taro. It’s not my fault you can’t handle that. ~ Yukiko ~ Despite her ease with people, Yukiko found it difficult to trust others. Not even her family could claim to know much about her thoughts. It wasn’t until she met Hayato that she began to open up. She never spoke of her past, but was still warm and inviting to the villagers. When a Fire Nation platoon swept through their village, she fought desperately to protect it. She even resorted to her firebending. Ultimately, however, she was able to save neither her home nor Hayato. Her hatred for military and war grew exponentially. Now, she avoids others whenever possible. When contact is necessary, she speak as little as possible.
Extra Info: “Why, Yukiko? None of us care that you’re from the Fire Nation. And no one will tell! Please stay with us.” “This has become personal, Anju. ... They cannot take what I do not have. I can’t put any of you in danger again. I’m sorry.”

Name: Ren Long
Age: 16
Gender" Male
Nation: Earth
Bending type: Water: Currently, Ren is a beginner waterbender, having learnt just the basics of Waterbending, such as streaming the water and push and pull. He is capable of freezing and melting abilities, however the transition is slower, due to his skill level.
He is capable of using techniques, such as the Water Whip, Freezing Breath and Water Jet. However, due to his skill level, their power and speed are not at high level.
Earth: Currently, Ren is an Advanced Earthbender, close to Master status. He is extremely skilled in the art, capable of causing earthquakes, fissures and rock slides with ease, as well as levitating and shooting multiple medium-large sized boulders.
He can magnetize himself so that he can climb and run up and along walls. He can also slide along the earth at a high speed, making travel a little easier. This can also be done by riding a wave of earth. He can also raise pillars and slabs of earth to use as a shield, which can then be shot towards an opponent.
Ren is also capable of making quicksand with ease, trapping opponents within seconds. He can also leap up to high places, by launching off a raised piece of earth. One of Ren's more useful moves is covering himself with an earth armor, protecting himself from attacks, even fire-bending ones.
He has also invented the 'Ren'ade Launcher technique, magnetizing his body so stones nearby stick to him, shooting them out with quick movements.
Fire: Ren has not begun this element.
Air: Ren has not begun this element.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Appearance:
Ren is a slender looking boy, compared to most other Earthbenders, who usually have a little bit of of a bulky build. He had jet black hair, however, under strong light, it looks to be an extremely dark brown. His eyes are emerald green, which under strong light have a shade of yellow and brown in them. His skin is a slightly tanned complexion, as well as being clear.
Ren's body build is a slight one, allowing him to be a little more faster and nimble than most Earthbenders. His Physical strength is of average level, however if he uses Earthbending to enhance his strength with earth-based objects, it can be superhuman. The use of other elements can also increase his strength. His speed is average, however this can be augumented by using Earthbending, or any other element he masters.
Ren's clothing consists of normal Earthbender type clothing. His top is a dark shade of emerald green singlet-type top, usually with a darker green shade trimmings. His pants are a light tint of emerald green and are a little baggy, to allow movement whilst he is fighting or bending.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Personality:
Ren is the type of person people like being around. He is often making a joke about something, making people assume he has a child-like nature. He often as people would call it, "the life of the party". However, this doesn't mean that Ren is to be taken lightly. He is a very determined person, and once he sets his mind on something, he won't stop until it is completed. This usually leads Ren to dive headfirst into a situation, not thinking things through or about what could go wrong.
Ren also is a bit of a optimist, always thinking of the positive ways a plan can work, thus making him a little more head strong. However, once he is pushed into a corner, Ren can be ruthless, doing almost anything to defend himself, and the people he cares about. This is often used against him.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- bio.
Ren Long. A boy born into a small Earth Kingdom village just outside of Omashu. However, little did the town know that they were home to the next Avatar. The Earth Sages searched the Earth Kingdom for the next Avatar, using the relics as the key to finding the divine child. It took 4 months, but after stopping in Ren's village, they discovered that it was Ren who would become the next Avatar. They left the village, not disclosing the identity of the Avatar, so that he could grow up as a normal child.
However his parents found out soon enough. They began to notice things that were happening with Ren. When his mother bathed him, and Ren would splash around in the water playfully, the water would move with him. When Ren had a temper tantrum, the wind would begin to blow around a little more strongly. One time, his father noticed Ren had created a small amount of sparks when his son had banged his hands on the ground, angry about not being able to play outside in the rain. However, his parents decided to keep the secret, not allowing Ren to know of his destiny to be the Avatar, so that he could grow up normally, not as a smug child who knew he had the power to change the world.
As Ren grew up, he began to study Earthbending, a natural thing to him, as all the boys in his village did. He excelled at the basics, grasping the concepts much more faster than his classmates. His teacher and peers simply thought that Ren studied at home, practising his forms with his father, not that he was the physical embodiment of the planet. However, his bending didn’t improve much from there. See, despite being the Avatar, Ren lacked focus. He just wanted to play with his friends, not study Earthbending. So against his parent’s wishes, he stopped Earthbending at the age of 10, wanting to do something more than just bending.
He decided to work in the mines with his father, wanting to help his village more than himself, as the mines were the major source of income. So, with his basic Earthbending, which was ok for someone his age, Ren worked in the mines. It was there he began to notice that he was a little different than the others. One day, when Ren was 13, he was digging a section of earth were sapphires were found. However, he made a wrong move, moving a chunk of rocks that held the support beams. The tunnel was about to collapse, and despite the efforts of the Earthbenders in the mine, it was going to collapse.
Almost instinctively, Ren jumped forward, too far for any regular earthbender, as he used an Earthbending move to try and hold up the ceiling, however, he didn’t just hold up the ceiling. He blasted it apart, the sun shining through the 20 foot hole Ren had created in the ceiling. It was nothing anyone had seen in the village before... A single Earthbender managing to stop a cave-in. Ren was praised by the community for it, however his bending remained the same, unable to do the move again.
Ren decided from the age of 14, to resume his Earthbending training with his father, the basics not being enough for Ren. He trained like this for 2 more years, mastering the intermediate moves as the Earth Sages returned to the village on Ren’s 16th birthday. They simply walked into the party, and announced that Ren was the next Avatar.
His life changed forever after that day.
With his Earthbending training incomplete, the Earth sages decided that Ren should head to Ba Sing Se, to complete it with the world’s best benders. Ren didn’t want to leave his friends and family behind, leave his life behind, however the sages said as the Avatar, Ren had to learn to put other’s needs before his. So with only the essentials packed, Ren headed off to Ba Sing Se alone, to master Earthbending. However, before departing, he was warned to keep his identity secret. He was told about the war of the Fire Nation, how they nearly made the Airbender’s extinct, how they were searching for Ren.
He was also warned about rumors of a group of people who hated the fact that the world looked at the Avatar for hope. They believed that the world should solve their own problems, not rely on a single person. So they seeked to permenately end the Avatar cycle. He was told to keep vigilant, be careful of who he trusted.
With that in mind and his new destiny, Ren sets off on the adventure of a lifetime.

yukiko[Shu]: Heard that? That girl says she works "directly for the Fire Lord". [Suran]: Why are you so surprised? I got a lot of people working directly for me. I don't believe in power hierarchies and assigning people to deal with those who work for me. I keep in touch with all of my underlings... Now that I think about it, tomorrow's the birthday of the daughter of admiral Zen. I should probably buy her something. [Shu]: *laughs* You're growing soft, old man. Maybe it's time you retire. [Suran]: Humph. I'm not quite over the hill yet, m'boy. It's too darn early to leave my glorious nation to you young ones.[Narrator]: ...As much as I love hearing the two of you arguing, maybe it's time we focused on the profile?[Shu]: Yeah... I guess you're right. She could use some more description in her personality but her looks get the Shu Qiao stamp of approval! *winks* [Suran]: Don't get over your head kid, you're committed already... But I'll agree with you there. In any case, the girl needs another paragraph in her biography... Perhaps she could add more information on exactly how she got to work directly for me. I'm quite intrigued about that but maybe it's because age is starting to affect my memory. [Narrator]: Valid points. Grammatically she's alright so I have nothing else to add.Listen to them. They know what they're talking about.

Shu...the red words hurt my eyes...why do they hurt my eyes so much?
Here's mine:
Name: Mei Tan Age: 26 Custom Title: Bending Class: Earthbending Nation: Earth Kingdom
Appearance:
Mei is a beautiful woman to say the least. She has flawless, pale skin, and long black hair that goes down to the middle of her back, she usually keeps tied up in a bun. The colors of her eyes are light brown, and they seem to shine when just in the right light. They always have a seemingly kind look to them, but that can quickly change when she wants something or someone has angered her, giving her an almost malicious glare.
Her clothing is a very high end green Earth Kingdom robe that looks very similar to a kimono. The entire garb is decorated with golden embroidery that has no particular design, with the only function being gaudy. It has long, wide sleeves so that she can conceal her delicate hands in them. Under her robe she has a very curvaceous body, though she tries to conceal it when possible so she won’t be gawked at by men. Within her right sleeve is an Earth Kingdom fan that she uses much of the time to fan herself, or to cover her face when she laughs. She stands at 5’8.
She is a light woman, but is not frail due to her training. When fighting, she opens the lower half of her robe, allowing her to run, and move around more freely. When Earthbending she hits the boulders and earth with an open palm, not wanting to hurt her hands too badly that they would look unsightly. She doesn’t try any extreme bending moves, as she fears damaging herself in the process.
Personality:
Mei’s personality has been influenced greatly by her love of wealth and luxurious effects. Growing up as the daughter of a bureaucrat has made her snobbish, and haughty. She feels that she is superior to everyone, and will point it out as she speaks. She can be blunt, and truthful, but deceitful when she needs to be. Through her years of making deals, and breaking deals she has learned how to finesse people, often using her beauty to help her. She also employs the use of her melodic voice that just seems to be the right pitch to seduce, and entrap her weaker minded prey. She has an extreme love for cute and delicate things. Those that know her call it her weakness. She only uses her bending when she feels that it is a last resort, relying more on her mind than brute strength.
Her view towards men is “No! No! No!” Losing her only male friend made her very wary of making another, in fear of losing that one as well. Her teachers were all male, and didn’t hide the fact that they were interested in her while they taught her, making her have a even more hateful outlook on the male species. Her father, an oafish, blundering man made her feel that all men were schemers, and only wanted what was best for themselves. So when she realized that she preferred the company of women over men she wasn’t very surprised. Women didn’t stare at her as if she was a prize, making her feel more comfortable around them. She doesn’t hesitate to flaunt herself in front of a woman that she thinks is attractive, though she has no interest in a long time relationship. Having most people in her life either leave, or disappear by another instance has made her very wary of forming a connection with anyone.
Bio:
Mei Tan was born in Ba Sing Se to a wealthy bureaucratic family. Her father, Sun Tan, was a wealthy bureaucrat that was involved deeply in the affairs of their neighbors, and long time friends Jun, and Lin Ning. Sun Tan was a man who placed merchants he backed onto the streets of Ba Sing Se, making it impossible for merchants not backed by him to make any money. He would then have the merchants not with him pay him percentages to be able to sell their goods. He made a fortune this way, allowing him to become very influential in the bureaucracy. Mei’s mother, Da-Ark Tan, left home by herself, leaving her in the sole care of her distant father. Mei never knew much about her mother, only what her father told her of her, and from what he said she was a very harsh and cold woman and an excellent Earthbender.
Mei’s life consisted of the finer things; extravagant parties, top tutors in all subjects, and a comfortable life style. Her real joy came from playing with a younger boy, her neighbor, Kun Ning. Though she was fifteen and he was nine the two had many fun hours wandering the streets of Ba Sing Se together. Mei, though friends with the boy, was a bit of a snob, and arrogant, so most of their conversations consisted of her making fun of the younger boy. The two always played together, since both of their families were involved with politics and they both were left alone much of the time. Mei truly thought that she was happy with her life, until the unfortunate day her friend Kun was kidnapped. It was that day when Mei’s world would become focused solely on herself.
After he friends capture Mei demanded from her father that he do something to find her only missing friend. When he refused and told her it was out of her hands she demanded that she then be given a top Earthbending instructor so that she could learn and go rescue her friend herself. Her father gave in, and allowed her the best tutors there were. And after two years of training Mei had only become a moderate bender. Frustrated with how long it had taken her and how weak she truly was, Mei reluctantly stopped her training and gave into the belief that her friend was most likely dead.
Mei continued her life as best she could, though with her arrogant attitude no one would be her friend, or converse with her. She studied politics, and observed the fluctuation of the marketplace, becoming much more competent in bureaucracy and financials than her father. It wasn’t before long that Mei began to bring in more revenue from her business dealings in the market than her crooked father was. After seven years Mei was well known for being much more lucrative than her father when it came to business, and for being a shrew of a woman. No man in Ba Sing Se would have anything to do with her, because though she was beautiful, she had a sharp tongue, and short temper. Not to mention the fact that she would have nothing to do with any man, making it extremely obvious she was much more interested in the opposite gender. Mei’s lifestyle of decadence, and strange relationships caused her father no shortage of shame, and grief.
One day while Mei was traversing the streets of Ba Sing Se she came across a man that looked homeless. Usually she would have just passed by him and went about her business, but something grabbed her attention. The man was mumbling to himself, talking to a Mr. Nin. It was at that moment that Mei realized who he ragged man was, Kun Ning, her childhood friend. She remembered that Kun would carry a small rag doll around that he called, Mr. Nin, she was positive it was him. She quickly approached him in the hopes that he would remember her, but to her hopes were dashed as she introduced herself; he stared at her with a confused expression. Heartbroken for the first time in her life Mei silently took Kun back to his residence next to her own. She hoped that her old friend next door would allow them to rekindle their old friendship, but she would be given a painful surprise once again. On a dark night screams could be heard coming from the Ning’s home. Mei would have checked out the commotion, but her father demanded she stay inside their home. When morning finally came she, along with many others that had heard the commotion during the night went to investigate the home of the Ning’s. Mei found that the inside of the home was a mess and the Ning’s were missing, including Kun. Mei became even more reclusive and hostile after this incident.
Mei began to focus solely on her work, now starting to get involved with her father’s merchants, concocting a plan to pull all his dealings out from under him and taking them all for herself. Mei’s father knew of this plan, and devised a plan of his own to get rid of his daughter without killing her, or causing any harm. Sun Tan simply asked a very old, rich friend that lived outside of Ba Sing Se if he would like a young bride. The deal would be sealed with a dowry, an extreme sum of money given to his friend, but it was more of a gift for taking Sun’s shrew of a daughter. Mei had no choice in the matter, as she was the daughter of Sun, though she did have much to say in the matter. A few months went by and the time came for Sun to deliver the dowry to his friend. He left Mei in Ba Sing Se, while he and a group of his own guards went off to deliver the dowry. Mei was surprised to hear that her father, and his guards had been murdered on the road leading away from Ba Sing Se. Mei simply thought it was good fortune on her part. Now she was able to take all her father’s wealth, and increase her own.
Most of Ba Sing Se’s merchants and other establishments soon came under the tight grip of Mei’s wealthy influence, and many were forced to either pay her a fee to keep their businesses open, or sell so that she could replace them. Many couldn’t pay her fees or sell their businesses and were caught in debt to the shrewd woman. The streets soon became littered with homeless people that the guards of Ba Sing Se began casting them outside the walls. Ba Sing Se may have had a King, but Mei Tan was most likely the queen. She controlled much of Ba Sing Se behind the scenes, and was slowly bleeding the people of their money. Her immense wealth is hidden in her estate, in a place only she knows of.
Mei’s lifestyle now revolved around wealth, and that’s how she wanted it. Occasionally she ventures around the Earth Kingdom, causing conflict, making money through deals, or the occasional fling with young women. She feels no remorse for what she has, and is doing to Ba Sing Se, and its people.
Hehehe...gotcha...you just read all that...and it's not even my real profile... ____________________________________________________________________ Here's the real one:
Profile for V2
Name: Kun Ning Age: 21 Gender: Male Bending Element: None Nation: Earth
Appearance:
Kun Ning's appearance is what one would call the look of a homeless man that has a very creepy air about him. His once long, black, and matted hair that he grew through his years of captivity has been cut since his captivity by Sanosuke, and made much shorter. His hair is now just barely passes his ears. No facial blemishes due to fighting or any other activity can be seen on Kun’s face.
Kun Ning's eyes are very slender and narrow, making him look very menacing and untrustworthy, but when he smiles he has a friendly look about him. His eye color is a dark brown. He is very slender and not very muscular giving him the appearance of being sickly, and frail. He weighs in at about 110 pounds. Though this makes him very fragile, it also gives him the benefit of being fast. Kun Ning stands at nearly 6'0. His skin is tan, almost a light brown. His slender fingers end with one inch pointed nails, covered with dirt and grime, which he uses to claw and scratch when needed.
When it comes to clothes Kun Ning only cares about what he has on. A green long sleeved earth kingdom robe, matched with baggy green pants. They are tattered and ripped, stained with black and brown textures. The gold clips that button the garb once gleamed brightly, now they are covered with dirt and filth. The clothes are very loose and big mainly because they were his fathers, a very large man who liked to eat. The long sleeves cover Kun Ning's slender arms and go past his hands, concealing them only by an inch or two.
Tied to Kun’s arms, inside his sleeves are make shift loops made out of a strong, almost metal material given to him by Sanosuke during his training that allow Kun Ning to carry his daggers inside his sleeves, while they are attached to them. No longer does he carry the ceremonial daggers of his family that he stole, they are now daggers with the Fire Nation insignia on them. He is able to grasp them without most noticing. The baggy pants that once belonged to his father were too long, but have been cut to make them shorter. Kun’s footwear is nothing special either, typical black slippers that many Earth Kingdom residents wear.
Kun’s robe has a large burnt hole in the back caused when he encountered the firebender, Kasai. The back of Kun’s robe was burnt, and his skin underneath was burnt as well, giving it, after two years, a cracked, grayish look to it. There are also two large slash marks caused by Kun’s roped daggers as he tried to reach his back and his daggers swung back and scarred him. ________________________________________________________________________________ Personality:
Kun Ning’s personality can be described as mentally unstable; another is that of a child. After nine years of torture he has a very warped view about things. He gets annoyed very quickly when things do not go his way, causing fits of rage and tantrums. He will not hesitate to harm someone for the smallest reason, being rude, calling him a name, and not giving him what he wants. Kun Ning can be social, though at times it can be very hard for him to remain calm and collected. When he becomes agitated or confused, he often talks to his imaginary friend, Mr. Nin.
After Kun escaped from his torturers he began to pair torture and happiness together. His captors seemed to enjoy torturing him, so he now thinks that torturing people is another way for him to be happy. Kun will seek out people to capture and take back to his grotto, where he then proceeds to torture them. He loves to be around people, as he looks at most of them as toys. Though Kun may not think normally he does recognize that he is evil. He knows his deeds are bad, yet he cannot help himself. He accepts that his life is now to cause others pain so that he may have a sense of happiness.
On the day that he encountered the man, Kasai, and barely escaped, Kun became a little obsessive with finding the man. He views the man as the ultimate toy to end his collection; he has made it his goal to capture the feminine firebender after he has finished his collection.
While Kun was under the control of Sanosuke he became a little less sporadic, but still unreasonably unruly. Kun was taught to observe, stealthily kill, and how to predict movements. He hardly uses the lessons taught to him by his captor, but he has become slightly deadlier. Kun though is still, and will always be a master of torture.
Kun Ning has no particular fighting style. He is fast and he always carries two daggers in his sleeve, which is enough for him. Spinning, slashing, kicking, biting, clawing, all of these are enough for Kun to play with. He often relies on his speed to avoid his enemies. He can contort his body into odd shapes, allowing him to dodge enemy’s attacks with ease. His contortion style of fighting that he uses so often has been refined after training with Sanosuke. Though he is now more disciplined in fighting this has not stopped him from becoming wild during fights when he becomes agitated. ________________________________________________________________________________
History:
“The more I collect, the happier I’ll be…”
Down in the bowels of the grotto, Kun’s subterranean home, screams echoed throughout the dark earthen halls. The screams were of all the trapped people that Kun had kidnapped. Men, women, children, old, and young, all were screaming. Many of them screamed out from their dungeon like cells to ask to be released, begging for their lives. Others screamed in pain, asking that they no longer be chosen to be played with. And the rest…the rest were just screaming.
Kun Ning, the Grinning Shadow, labeled among his captives, strolled through the dark halls of his underground home. He smiled pleasantly at the sounds of screams. He came to a wooden door in the wall, the same that lined the rest of the walls in the grotto, and opened it slowly. Inside a lone chained woman sat, silent, and unmoving. He slowly approached the woman and looked down at her, barely able to see her in the darkness. “Enjoying your stay?” he asked in a happy tone. The woman didn’t respond. He chuckled, “What’s wrong?” He stared down at the woman, still no response. He scratched his head lightly with his long nails, “Why won’t you say anything?” He asked grabbing the woman. He laughed as he stared at the woman, and shook his head as if he had made a foolish mistake, “I broke this toy yesterday…”
Kun Ning was born into a wealthy family that held high status within Ba Sing Se. Despondent as a child due to his parent’s lack of awareness of his presence and their inability to nurture him; Kun often kept to himself and played with his ragdoll, Mr. Nin. On his tenth birthday, Kun Ning was kidnapped while home alone by men that had done shady dealings with his family.
Forced into a dank and dark cell in an underground cave a few miles outside of Ba Sing Se, Kun was held for ransom by the men. Weeks would pass, and Kun’s fragile mentality began to weaken, but reached its breaking point after he was told by one of his captors that his parents had refused to pay the ransom. Giving up all hope of being rescued, Kun retreated into the only sanctuary he knew, his mind. Tortured and beaten by his angry captors, Kun suffered humiliation and debauchery, for nine years.
Kun’s freedom would come on his nineteenth birthday, when one of the men that had captured him that he had never seen but only on his first day in the dark underground came to see him. Marveling at how the young man had stayed alive so long, the man unlocked Kun’s cell, and proceeded to converse with the barely coherent Ning. Fortunate for Kun, the years he had spent stoic and compliant allowed his hands to be unbound by his current captors. Kun leaped at the man and killed him with his bare hands, driving his long dirty nails into his guest’s eyes, and neck. Kun would then escape his underground prison, but not before killing his other captors, making sure before he left his dark accommodations that all of them were dead.
The dirty, and mentally unstable man made his way back to Ba Sing Se, and was immediately mistaken for a beggar. It was only after walking the streets that Kun was recognized by a person he did not know, and was taken back to his home. At first his parents were overjoyed to see him, but as days went by Kun grew more and more restless. Used to his days being dark, and the prospect of being tortured day in and day out he no longer knew what to do. His only friend that kept him company during his dark hours in the underground was his imaginary friend he made, Mr. Nin.
One night, a mess of screams could be heard from the Ning residence. When neighbors came to investigate they found that the entire Ning family was missing, along with a pair of ceremonial daggers that the family had cared for over generations. It was assumed by the public that perhaps the men that had kidnapped Kun years ago had come back and taken the entire family. In all actuality it was Kun who had kidnapped his parents, and had taken them to the one place where he felt comfortable, a place he fondly labeled, The Grotto.
With so many rooms within the underground cave made by the bandits and others that had taken up residence their over the years it was the perfect place for Kun to fulfill his deepest desire, to torture. Kun quickly went on to collect “toys”.
After many misadventures, and encounters, many of which Kun prefers to remember, there are a few that he does not wish to recall. One incident was when Kun’s back was burned and then cut by himself by accident while in a restaurant called Jin’s Pagoda. The firebender he encountered was named Kasai, who he met a few times after the incident and swore to take his revenge on the feminine firebender.
Kun would run into another firebender soon after named, Sanosuke, a firebending assassin under the control of the Fire Lord himself. After being observed by Sanosuke for months, Kun was captured and taken to a remote island near the Fire Nation. Once there, Sanosuke tempted Kun with the offer to become stronger, but only as long as he pledged allegiance to the Fire Nation. Kun agreed half heartedly and began his training. Though not a bender Kun was a natural contortionist and with his innate ability to swing his daggers attached to rope he was deadly, but it was only after his training was complete he was less prone to go berserk during battle. Yet, even with all the training Kun still remained unfocused and wild.
Feigning sincerity and allegiance to the Fire Nation, Kun was sent back to the Earth Kingdom to await the call from Sanosuke to serve the Fire Nation. When he returned to his underground home Kun found to his dismay that many of his “toys” had become broken. So the hunt for more “toys” began, and many unknown innocents were kidnapped and subjected to such horror that even nightmares filled with the most gruesome creatures could not compare. Kun’s skills with torture had only gotten better since his absence, and he was more than thrilled to use his new techniques on his new play things.
Two years would pass, and Kun Ning would stay true to his childish ambitions and play with “toys” that he came across. It was only a matter of time though before Ba Sing Se began to wonder where many of their travelers, and merchants were disappearing to. Kun Ning’s time of fun was starting to come to a close, as Earth Kingdom soldiers began to scour the landscape, looking for whatever was snatching people off the trails. Kun now had to be very careful about who he selected to be his new toys.
The comforts of his dark underground lair now held no comfort for the unruly man, and his play things became less and less interesting to toy with. Kun then realized that he needed the ultimate toy, a toy that he knew he would never bore of, the feminine firebender that had marked him. Kun now searches out Kasai, in hopes of capturing him so that he may play with his adversary to his hearts content. Needless to say that anyone else he finds interesting will have to have to be played with thoroughly.

The Avatar Sagas: Book 2 Kairo Kuzuru We gaze from a distance, in awe and wonder. We are Witness to the mightiest force on the planet. Never are we safe from its wrath. We wonder at its awesome power- twice the heat of the sun. It is precise, never a miss. It roars as it strikes the earth angrily for our dirty deeds provoke it. We can only hope we did nothing to anger this force, for it may strike us next. It is powerful, quick, destructive, and virtually unavoidable. It is lightning, it is who I am. –Kairo Kuzuru
Appearance: Kairo is a tall, towering man. Well over six feet (approximately 6’5”.) He has broad shoulders, and a much toned, lean, muscular frame. From his shoulders to his waist his body appears as a V looking shape. He isn’t quite skinny, but he isn’t fat either. He weighs in at about 175 pounds. His face compliments his body; it is young and fierce looking. He has intimidating yet stunning features. He has golden glaring eyes under heavy brows. His compelling stare feels as if his eyes pierce through the very soul. For a majority of the time, they lack emotion, or rather; they incite such emotion in those who gaze into them, it’s rather difficult to distinguish his emotions.
Fierce and bold, that’s what you see when you look upon the face of Kairo. Any man looking at him would see the face of a warrior, stern and rugged. His broad chin and jaw only add to the severe, unapproachable aura of his... His skin is tan and rough. But what else could be expected from such a man? A majority of the time his face remains passive, for all the aging he has had taught him to show little emotion outright. All his experience and suffering are written on his front. Yet he still maintains good looks and a strong, healthy vigor appearance.
His hair is long and black, flowing down past his shoulders. The hairs on the top of his hair are brushed back, with a few strands of hair falling forward over his face. Hair covers the sides of his face as well, with his ears slightly protruding from the sea of hair that covers them. Because of this, a slight shadow is cast upon the corners of his face. Kairo wears standard Fire Nation robes, with loose cloth pants and vest underneath. He also owns a rare armor, similar to those worn by Fire Nation soldiers, only it has a black color to it.
Personality: Mysterious, stern, fierce, tempered. Those are the words that come to mind when trying to describe Kairo. Yet they are not enough. Usually in a calm and collected sate, he is a quiet man, preferring to be at peace with his self. Usually this can make him seem like a loner, yet he in truth he does enjoy company, even to the point of longing for it- so long as its with the right kind of people. His temper however, causes him to isolate himself from others, feeling they are the ones that may provoke him, or that he may hurt those he cares for through his rage.
He can be ill-tempered when provoked. This is mostly due to his childhood and teenage years, and because of this he has a low tolerance level to those who rouse anger in him. In his younger years Kairo would display his temper through arrogance, challenging anyone who would aggravate him. Though now at a much more mature mental state, he is careful to control his temper and not act out, for fear of hurting those who are close to him as he did many times before.
To those whom Kairo cares for, he is a loyal person. It can be surprising at how caring he can be towards those rare enough to deserve his liking. He will never break a promise, although he so rarely makes one. In general, however, he can be as good as an enemy as he can be an ally. He usually takes no sides, unless it is to his convenience. His tendency to be self-interested makes him seem like a typical anti-hero. Deep down he has no real bad intentions; however his bitterness and anger can make it seem that way.
Still, he is keen to smite any and all people who he believes are deserving of it. He despises mockery, and defiance, and can be rather vengeful. He will sometimes use violent measures to influence others. However, Kairo’s influence on people doesn’t always lie in his bending power, in fact in most cases he doesn’t need to use violence. Kairo possesses a seemingly hypnotic charm that people are often drawn towards. His way with words and his actions often captivate others, building trust and friendship with them in a short period of time. Kairo often uses this to his advantage when lying to people, as well as when he wishes to be manipulative.
In a battle, he is cunning and precise. He calculates every move of his opponents and his own. He once said, “In a battle, to defeat me with sheer luck and ability, you would only be greater than those whom I have defeated, which is to say many. However, to beat me with wits, you can be greater than any opponent in your path.” He follows this principle avidly, knowing that being a great master is more than just a powerful force in the arts of bending, but also a thinker, one who calculates as he fights for maximum accuracy. He never backs down from a challenge so long as it is in reason. He feels that’s if he ever did back down from a challenge, he would face dishonor. He would even fight to his death.
History: Kairo was destined to be something great even before his birth. He was the second son to Naomi and Kaen Kuzuru. When he was still young in mothers womb, his parents took a trip too a quiet town where there was rumored to be a fortune teller, one whose predictions where almost never wrong. Though they were doubtful and unconvinced, they still thought it would be entertaining and fun to see what the old seer would predict. After she told them their fortunes, she asked if they would like to hear the fortune of their babies. It couldn’t hurt, after all; they had no belief in her predictions. So, she began a series of old methods to determine the fate of the soon to be born baby.
“He will be a Firebender, and a powerful one at that. He will go through many changes in life, constantly he shall be living in an earthquake… Yet soon he shall learn how to conquer this Earthquake, and use it to his advantage in the future. He is also a clever one, yet anger will cloud his thought process. He has a long life ahead of him, and he will be a great force of Firebending. He will be something of importance to the world! But be warned, his life will be filled with much strife. Without structure he could become a danger to himself and others.”
Upon hearing these predictions, the family was eager for the babies due date. Knowing he would be something great in the world made it all the more exciting to have a baby, yet they chose to ignore the ominous predictions. They told their friends, which it is then when the rumors spread. Word reached the Royal Family about this supposedly prodigy baby, displeasing the eldest son of the Fire Lord, Suran. Although Suran was still young at the time, he loathed the thought of another child having any more attention than him. Because of this, he knew that when he made Fire Lord, Kairo was to be executed immediately.
After only a few short months, the baby was finally born. Naomi and Kaen Kuzuru decided to name their baby boy Kairo (Kai meaning triumphant (凱) with the added suffix of –ro for formality.) Kairo grew up as a normal boy in the Fire nation with a younger sister and an older brother. He was enrolled in an academy up until the age of 12. After that he decided he wanted to further learn Firebending (aside from what he had already taught himself) so he sought a trainer. He was fortunate enough to live near a skilled trainer who often taught classes at a Firebending school. The man’s name was Zhu Xin. Zhu was a firm man and strict man at times; however he was quite fond of Kairo. Zhu accepted the position as Kairo’s master and took him to his classes, as well as even let Kairo stay for extra practice. Kairo spent time training every day, even to the point where Kairo would be sore at the end of every week. Zhu was sometimes forced to tell Kairo to take a break for a few days. However Kairo excelled in all of Zhu’s classes and showed a tender interest in the discipline of Firebending. When asked why Kairo loved training so much, he replied, “I train because I want to learn as much about Firebending as I possibly can. It’s a beautiful discipline along with the other three elements. Life and passion is what it expresses. Why should it not be exploited?”
Kairo was also interested in other things besides Firebending. At the age of 13 he began to draw different pictures and images. Much of his inspirations came from the many dreams he had, day and night. He was rather imaginative and showed much of that in his art. He also enjoyed roaming around with his siblings, expressing a rather adventurous persona. He liked to learn about the different and exotic animals and plants. As he grew older he traveled further away from home and learned about the different cultures of the world. He even showed a liking towards to other bending disciplines.
He maintained a good relationship with his brother and sister, though at times he and his brother would become competitive towards each other and functioned more as rivals than as brothers. His sister was young, so he was always over protective towards her, a quality his brother often lacked at times. His parents were good to him throughout most of his childhood and early teens. Kairo showed hardly any signs of strife or struggle like his pre-birth prediction said he would, apart from the struggles any normal growing boy would go through. At times he would be quiet and shy, even withdrawn, but for the most part he acted normal and healthy.
However his world changed at the age of 15 when a strange event occurred in his town. A march had raided his city in the night. Most if not all of the town was captured in the night, and possible executed. However before the raiders could reach them his mother hid her three children in a hidden cellar beneath the house while his father fought for his family. Naomi promised she would return as soon as she could, but after minutes of listening to the sounds of a struggle on the floor above, the house fell silent. Kairo and his siblings were left terrified and nervous. They were hoping the fighting had stopped and their mother and father would return, but after a good twenty hours of waiting, Kairo and his brother had lost hope.
They finally emerged from the cellar, which was conveniently disguised under a floor board. They found that their house had been torn apart. By the looks of it, their neat town had been pillaged by some organization. Though the question was by whom? Was it a neighboring nation or province, or a global party threat? However the more pressing question was where their parents were, or even so, were they alive?
All questions were left unanswered. Their town was burned. All structures were left burning in ruin and there was no sign of human life aside for them. The day was gray and rainy. Thunder boomed in the distant. It was the ideal day for disaster, and so disaster had hit. With his town and its community completely wiped out, they were forced to live life on the streets of other towns and cities. The comfortable lives they once lived were now lost, and all they could count on was their will to survive. This however forced them to turn to crime in order to keep their younger sister alive and well. After their money ran out, they had to steal for food or money. They would frequently break into people’s houses for things such as blankets and cushions to sleep on. Soon their looting got out of hand, and when officials were beginning to suspect three beggar looking kids both Kairo and his brother had to fight against numerous guards and vigilantes to stay safe.
Luckily both Kairo and his brother were well adapted to traveling, though more so adapted to traveling prepared more than anything. Still they managed to stay alive. After months of traveling all around the southeast Fire Nation, they smuggled themselves on a cargo ship that was headed for a small port town in the Earth Kingdom, only a province away from Ba Sing Se. Hoping they could start fresh, they made their way to the giant Earth Kingdom city. There they met a nice family that, while not at all rich, had a well established home. For a year they lived peacefully with their new family. Kairo worked for the family and did everything he could to help out. They were a nice couple and they had a daughter about the same age as Kairo’s little sister. They cared for the trio well and fed them as much as they could, while also giving them a comfortable place to sleep.
It wasn’t until Kairo was 17 that their criminal past began to catch up with them. Word spread from the Fire Nation about the criminal minors who roamed the street. When it was discovered that they were living in the city, a Fire Nation general that had witnessed the crimes Kairo and his brother committed, traveled to the city to capture them and see justice. Luckily the Fire Nation’s presence was not unannounced, and neither was their purpose (which of course was to find any criminals from the Fire Nation.) Upon hearing word that the Fire Nation was aware of them living here, Kairo’s brother quickly made an effort to flee. Kairo however was not at all ready to live a life on the streets ever again, so he stayed behind, believing if he kept himself hidden eventually the Fire Nation’s presence would fade in a matter of days.
Kairo explained the situation to his new found family, who surprisingly understood more than ever expected. They agreed to help him stay safe and hidden. Things eventually died down and it seemed the Fire Nation had given up on their search for the wanted criminals living if Ba Sing Se. It wasn’t until he was spotted by a normal looking neighbor that things took a nasty turn. Shortly after that a group of soldiers knocked at the door and demanded that the criminal living in the house be surrendered, or they would negotiate an eviction with the cities government. Feeling the family had more to lose than he did, Kairo surrendered. The family agreed to take care of his little sister, and sadly they said their goodbyes as Kairo was dragged from the premises by the guards. He was strapped down in a cage on a ship. The tied his arms and legs down so as to prevent any bending. The journey back to the Fire Nation was long, uncomfortable and saddening.
When he arrived to his nation he was shortly sent to a high security jail without prosecution. It was there that Kairo really had to struggle to survive. Jail was a miserable place. Because Firebending was prohibited on jail grounds unless by a certified guard, he quietly practiced his martial arts, while secretly Firebending when no guards were there to watch. At times Kairo noticed that some convicts were taken from their cells to a back room. When they came out, IF they did, they were delusional and in most cases acted insane. Finally the day came when he too was ordered to be taken into the room.
The room was an odd place, with only a chair in the middle and a desk at the very end. A guard would sit at the desk and slowly poison the mind with false information. Somehow, Kairo remained slightly unaffected by this brainwashing method, though it invoked a rather angry and hateful personality within him. He slowly grew to become an ill-tempered, angry, and hateful person. His bad attitude often got him on the wrong sides with other convicts and guards, resulting in many confrontations as well as a few extensions to his sentence. Finally, after five long years, Kairo was released from jail at the age of 22.
For another year Kairo roamed the northern areas of the globe, as far away from the Fire Nation as possible. He was no longer a hateful man, yet he was still very ill-tempered and even at times showed arrogance towards others. He was convinced that the attack on his town that led to the struggles he had to go threw were at the hands of his own nations government. It was because of this that he sought to become the next leader of the Fire Nation. However this ultimate goal remains buried for it is more of imaginative thinking more than anything.
By now he was a very powerful Firebender, having trained since he was only eight. For fourteen years he mastered and perfected the art of Firebending, and now, out of anger, he wanted to display it. It was during these times that he expressed a very arrogant and challenging attitude towards others. More often than not he was keen to punishing others with a display of his sheer bending skill. Along the way he made himself many enemies because of this, the most prominent of all being Velox Sicarius, his loathed enemy.
During his travels he met Velox, and it was there that they clashed. Soon they challenged each other and from then on it was their goal to smite the other. They met many times after that, however their ultimate showdown still had not to occur due to the timing of their meetings— it was always during a significant battle or event that they crossed paths. Still, it was clear they noticed an odd similarity in their past as well as whom they were and who they were becoming…
Because of Kairo’s ability as a Firebender, he was sought out by the Fire Sages; a powerful ban of spiritual Firebender’s who gave council to the leaders of the Fire Nation. They showed him spirituality, and helped strengthen his Firebending abilities. It is still unknown to Kairo why the sages sought him out specifically. Shortly after, he was sent to a deserted island where the ruins of the supposedly extinct Sun Warriors exist. It was there that he learned the lost secrets of Firebending, as well as stumbled upon the unique quality of his fire; it was of blue and white hues, hotter than normal fire, as well as displayed a slightly more concussive force to it than normal fire. Kairo stayed on the island for months, training with the Sun Warriors and allowing his self to go through a spiritual journey. Finally, the last process of fully mastering the discipline of Firebending was to unlock his fire chakra to bring balance to his fire. It seemed simple, yet Kairo was unaware of the power that he unlocked during the process. With this process he brought himself energy, effectiveness, will, and non-dominating power. Because of this experience, he was allowed to master the discipline of lightning generation, a feat shared by few Firebender’s, almost as rare as Blue fire itself.
He was titled the Blue Dragon, along with the title the Blue Sun Warrior, or alternatively Azure Sun. He was fully established as a secret Sun Warrior, sworn to keep their secrets for ever. It was at this time that Kairo had become one of the most powerful Firebenders in the civilized world. Few in the world could match his bending ability alone. The highest ranking Sun Warriors are the few who can compete with his ability.
From here on Kairo continued to travel the world, however now he was less arrogant. His spiritual enlightening brought him to a new consciousness, a consciousness in which he had more respect for the people and living creatures of the world more than ever before. His journeys were long and struggle some, much were simply just learning experiences. The traces of his hard past are still within him, and sometimes that shows, yet the metamorphosis he is continuously going through slowly erases it.
During his travels he encountered many, aside from his enemy Velox, he traveled with Mara, the princess of the Water Tribe along with his love interest Suri. Along their travels Mara was eventually captured by the Fire Nation. Suri betrayed Kairo in the end and sided to travel to the Fire Nation, where she hoped to establish a relationship with the Fire Lord Suran, her biological father. Kairo and Velox made a truce to help restore the world to balance, and now we come to end of the history of Kairo.
Time Skip: For two years he stayed with the sages, and four more years he trained with the Sun Warriors. When the story of Kairo was over, he had lived 28 long years. A powerful master of his art, for the next two years he lived at peace in a quiet town quite similar to his home. It was there he learned about different weapons such as swords and staves. Though he never mastered the arts of weapon battling, he did learn to incorporate any extension of his limbs (swords) into his Firebending, a unique quality that makes him even more effective in battle. Now at the age of 30, we find Kairo to be reflective of the childhood he once lived.
Abilities: Kairo has proven himself to be a remarkable Firebender. He stumbled across Firebending at a rather early age in life and has since then mastered it entirely. He stands as one of the most powerful Firebenders in the world, and few can combat his ability alone. It is said that because he was taught by the Sun Warriors, only a powerful Sun Warrior has a better chance than anyone else at being able to beat him with just Firebending.*
His flames are blue and thus hotter than normal yellow fire, as well as have a concussive force to them not normally seen with lower level flames. He has shown a unique way of manipulating his fire, condensing it into powerful jets or beams and creating disks of fire able to slice through solid objects. He can also augment his flames in various ways. Though he barely uses this technique, he does have the ability to breathe flames. He has earned himself the nickname “The Blue Dragon” because of his unique abilities with his blue flames. Also, because of the amount of travel he has done, and learning from the other bending arts, he enjoys being creative with his discipline by demonstrating some of the techniques the other bending arts would use in a Firebending fashion. This makes him quite a versatile bender. He is a master at generating and guiding lightning, a rare feat among Firebenders. An even rarer feat, he can generate a strike of lightning in less than a few short seconds, making an attack like that extremely hard to avoid.
Because most of his bending techniques are based around different styles of martial arts, without his bending he is still quite a good hand to hand combatant. He is strong physically. He isn’t a master at weapon battling, yet he is sufficient and he often combines weapons with his bending. Though he is not quite a master at weapons, the way he incorporates them with his bending makes up for that. With any extension of the arm, including swords, staffs, or rods, he will set it aflame and use his bending to enhance the way he uses the weapon. As well as using bending to enhance the way he uses weapons, he does the same to enhance his acrobatic feats. He can propel himself high into the air and do flips and kicks in harmony with Firebending. He has also shown the use of his Firebending for travel, using it to dash or propel himself forward at high speeds.
Because of Kairo’s dependency on his bending to enhance his physical abilities, a battle without bending could prove quite difficult for him. He has also shown slight difficulty towards fighting Airbenders due to having not been trained to fight against them. However, he would be able to hold up well in a hand-to-hand battle. Kairo is a versatile and resourceful bender and fighter. He shows strength and ability, but in the end his philosophy is it’s the thinking that counts. Without wits in a battle, winning by ability is a reckless and luck based victory. He demonstrates this philosophy often by being tactful and calculating in a battle.

Eh, I figured posting something decent would provoke the rest of you to do something nice with your profiles. It isn't the greatest thing ever written, it has many errors I'm sure, but I enjoyed re-creating Kairo from the once simple and bland character he was into a complex and unique character that he is now. I'm proud of it.
His appearance is subject to a lot of change though. Mostly the hair... I forgot that I hadn't factored in Kairo now has shorter, more avatar-esque hair. Eh.... I need to draw him at some point. I'll get to that... some other time. XD

I've been inspired thanks to you Kai. I've been inspired to post after seeing what you post so that I don't come off as such a blow hard, only to be beaten into submission by the Overlord. But you are the Big Cheese for a reason....
*goes off into the shadows to sulk*

I've been truly inspired by Kairo. He seems like the type of man Yukiko might look up to. ...Or completely dismiss, depending on her mood. I especially liked the idea of using swords, etc, as an extension of fire-bending. Mind if she borrows the idea from stories of you?

Mine probably never will be. But I won't be editing my post until I've typed it all out in Word.
*doesn't exactly relish the thought* -_- I feel like she's getting out of hand...but it's still kinda fun.
